We have so far covered the 4 main processes you can use to make your own compost. In each of the sections we have looked at so far there are a number of organic materials that appear on the "just don't go there" list, that some of the keener gardeners amongst you will still want to deal with and currently hide in a secret compost heap at the back of the shed and then get forgotten about. In this section we will take a brief tour of the most common of them and look at some other compost types that crop up and should get a mention. This includes;
- Composting deciduous leaves for leaf compost or leaf mould
- Dealing with woody stems
- Compost toilets
- Mushroom compost
- Manure compost
If there is another type of compost or organic material you would like to compost and I have not mentioned it, please let me know and I will endeavour to add some information on it for you.
